At the Center for Faith and Work, we humbly affirm the following foundational beliefs, holding fast to the truth of Scripture and seeking to honor God in every aspect of our life and service.
We affirm that the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:21). It is without error in its original manuscripts and serves as our supreme guide for belief and conduct. Through Scripture, God reveals His will, His character, and His redemptive plan for humanity. We approach the Bible with reverence, seeking to rightly divide and faithfully apply its truth
We believe in one eternal God, Creator of all that exists, who is revealed in three coequal and coeternal Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14). God is holy, sovereign, and unchanging—perfect in wisdom, power, justice, and love. He is worthy of all worship, and in all things we desire to glorify Him. We acknowledge His presence in every aspect of life and trust in His good and sovereign purposes.
We affirm that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary (Matthew 1:21–23; John 1:1,14). He lived a sinless life, offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice for our sins, died on the cross, rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and now reigns in glory as our Lord and Advocate. He alone is the way to salvation, and through Him we have peace with God and hope for eternity (Colossians 1:15–20; Hebrews 7:25).
We believe in the full deity and personal ministry of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, brings new life to those who believe, and dwells within every follower of Christ (Acts 5:3–4; Romans 8:9). The Spirit baptizes believers into the Body of Christ, seals them for the day of redemption, and empowers them to live holy lives. He also illumines our understanding of God’s Word and equips us for ministry and spiritual growth (Ephesians 1:13–14; 1 Corinthians 2:10–12).
We humbly acknowledge the unseen realm created by God, including angels who serve as His messengers and ministering spirits (Nehemiah 9:6; Hebrews 1:14). We also affirm the reality of Satan and fallen angels—demons—who rebelled against God and oppose His purposes in the world (Isaiah 14:12–15; Matthew 25:41). Though active, they are defeated through Christ’s victory on the cross, and their final judgment is certain. Believers are called to remain spiritually vigilant, standing firm in the Lord’s strength.
We believe that human beings are created in the image of God, uniquely designed for relationship with Him and entrusted with stewardship over creation (Genesis 1:26–27). However, through the fall of Adam, all humanity inherited a sinful nature and became spiritually separated from God (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1–3). Though fallen, every person retains inherent dignity and worth. We affirm the need for redemption and the transforming power of God’s grace through Jesus Christ
Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received by faith alone in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 5:8–9). It is not earned by good works, but results in a changed life and a desire to honor God. All who genuinely trust in Christ are forgiven, made new, and eternally secure in Him. We rejoice in the hope of salvation and the promise of everlasting life through our risen Savior (John 6:37–40; Titus 3:4–7).
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all believers who are united by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:12–14). The Church exists to glorify God through worship, discipleship, fellowship, and the proclamation of the Gospel. We affirm the significance of baptism and the Lord’s Supper as ordinances given by Christ to symbolize our union with Him and remembrance of His sacrifice. We seek to build up the Church in love, truth, and service (Acts 2:42–47; Matthew 28:19–20).
We humbly affirm the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will rapture His Church before the tribulation judgements (Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18). Christ will then return to establish His millennial kingdom and reigning in righteousness (Revelation 20:1–6). At the end of this age, all will be resurrected—believers to eternal life, and unbelievers to final judgment (Revelation 20:11–15). We joyfully await the new heavens and new earth, where God will dwell with His people forever (Revelation 21:1–5). In hope of these things, we seek to live in holiness, faithfulness, and eager anticipation of His coming.
